Stay Fit And Healthy For Life

by: Jen Lynn
People talk about health supplements these days, some of them you know like “been there and done that” type. Sometimes people are so much over informed about greatest or latest nutrition, that they think that they are all pretty much the same.

But most people agree that mineral and vitamin supplements help our body to some extend, but in most cases they know that these nutrients are definitely limited to helping someone in chronic illnesses.

And it was true, until a very few years ago. People took mineral and vitamin supplements just because everyone seemed to take it but no one was seeing any kind of miraculous results from it. So it is normal to believe that if there was any kind of real results or breakthrough with nutritional supplements, my doctor would have at least heard about it.

Now let me point out something to you right now. You might believe me or maybe not, but here is the fact: I have been looking and researching into a category of nutritional supplement called “glyconutrition” ever since I heard about it two years ago. Personally I feel, and for me there is no doubt, that glyconutrition will somehow help, and it does not matter what kind of health problem you are talking about – and bring about miraculous results to even very sick people, and transform their health into radiant and full energetic health condition.

Today, given the state of health care problems, and modern day life, everyone should be aware that any supplement – especially like this glyconutrition – significantly will increase your chance of staying fit and healthy for the rest of your lives.

In a recent book released about a year ago called: "The cost of being sick" medical expert Nicholas Webb showed lots of figures and facts which examine how messed up the entire health care industry really is nowadays. It shows how unreliable and expensive it has become.

If you look at those facts & figures, it will become clear that healthcare costs are just spiraling upwards to the point where, most people will not be able to afford the healthcare costs or even health insurance premiums, say somewhere after 5 to 10 years from now.

Now, if you can recognize the very signs of danger, what are you going to do about it? Or matter of factly saying, what can any of us do about it now?

It’s a fine question. So let us look at some options available to us.

The most obvious option is that you can do nothing and just let your health hang in there and take chances whatever life has to offer you.

The other option you have is to take some action. Until now, there was not much of help available and you could do little about it. But all of it has changed until some 10 years ago. It changed for the good when a pharmacologist who was working for a drug industry accidentally stumbled onto a very important health discovery of our lifetime called: glyconutrition. I would recommend that you do some research on glyconutrition because that is one of the best forms of health and fitness assurance you can get now.

In modern life and the rising costs of health, glyconutrition has become one of the most effective methods available to you.

Learn How to Apply a Simple Equation for Success in Your Life

Author: Susan Burgess
I get sick of hearing the comments; 'I don't have enough energy to be successful.'

Or, 'you are more successful because you have more energy than me.'

How much energy do you need to aim for success?

Energy can be defined as 'the capacity for vigorous activity; available power; the capacity to do the work.'

Success can be defined as 'a favorable outcome; the gaining of wealth and fame.'

My definition of success is 'using your available power to achieve your desired outcome (success).'

If your desired outcome is failure you will need the same energy to be a successful failure, than you will need to be a successful successor!

In mathematical terms,
Success = (energy applied + desired success related outcomes).
Failure = (energy applied + desired failure related outcomes).

Focusing on the negative takes as much energy as focusing on the positive.
Being depressed about your failures takes the same energy as being elated with your successes.

So if the level of energy used to be miserable is the same as what is needed to be successful why is it that some will and some won't be successful when both expand the same amount of energy?

There are the group who will comment that success is all based on how lucky you are, or that you were in the right place at the right time, or that you shop or business was in the right position for your good fortune to just happen. Well for the majority of successful people, luck has never played a role and the other two suggestions are the result of planning and applying the success equation.

'The Secret' movie has created incredible interest worldwide, with inputs in the movie from successful and wealthy people, who all followed the same map. Media commentaries and news headlines have emerged relating to those who have (allegedly) ripped off as many systems as they could to gain success, at the same time reportedly using the concepts portrayed in the movie; to the group who have supposedly followed the flow and dreamed up their success only to still be a failure. Let's not forget those who continue to whine that they just hate all this fluffy stuff that is going on around them.

'The Secret' did its job, it created success for the journalistic producer, whether you like it or not and the secret or the science behind 'the Secret' has been making people successful for a very long time, also whether you believe it or not, the concepts will continue to lead people to success for a very long time to come.

Why is it, that globally, there are a group of successful people who have previously been 'street people', drug users, school dropouts and English or Math failures or ex janitors with limited education? What is it that this group of people has, or what is it that they have developed to be so successful and living the life of their desires?

Part of the answer is to get a mentor, no matter what areas you want to add improvement to in your life, common sense, or your inner gut feeling, will tell you this, go and find yourself a mentor or a coach.

But, and there is a big but and this is where the majority come to the brick wall. This is the total crux of the matter and it doesn't matter how many books, programs, DVD's, seminars you attend or business ventures you get involved in, until you totally understand and take a grip of what rules you, governs your behavior, what controls your thinking, what controls the system that you have filed deep within your brain cells nothing will change.

You will continue to try to use the equation of success as previously mentioned, but without the real science, success will continue to evade you.

Success is a science
, numerous books have been written on how the science works and there are variables (obstacles) that just pop up in people's lives that need to be negotiated if a success outcome is to be achieved. I always find it so interesting how one can lead their life obstacle free, until the time comes to change their life!

As success requires a little bit more than just your ordinary energy and a strong desire, I developed my equation for success believing that if you live by it each and every day (that is the big ask) you will achieve your goals. By studying the great minds of our past century and those that are successful, no matter what we set out to do requires a blueprint, or a roadmap, but it also requires the ingredient that inspires the momentum - a shift in conscious thinking - a shift in your mindset.

Having worked with children with disabilities, including blind children, (most don't regard themselves as having disability) I have had the gratification of learning the following amazing success equations;

SELF DETERMINATION = (knowledge - pity) + (skills x confidence) + blind role models

SUCCESS =self-determination + (talent x perseverance)

The equation that leads these children to be successful in life led me to develop my equation, an equation that has led me to my success; my suggestion is to put a blindfold on for at least one full day and you will get the secret ingredient necessary for success, the change in mindset, the most important secret ingredient to your success.

You don't have to be brilliant at math to master the success equation just apply it;

SUCCESS = (mindset + knowledge) + (action x perseverance) + mentor.

This Simple Act Could Change Your Life

ad an interesting day yesterday. I had a training session with one of my favorite group of participants. They are from Premier Milk (M) Sdn. Bhd. I have conducted a number of training programs here over the last one year. The group was highly responsive and we had loads of fun. The topic of the training was "Enhancing Relationships". We covered topics related to personal relationships (family) to professional relationships (colleagues, bosses, subordinates and of course customers).

We had plenty of laughs talking about personal relationships, especially the experiences when they fell in love for the first time when they were young; you know, the clumsiness, the butterflies in the stomach and the impromptu smile on the face when you are sleeping! We talked about the need to improve the quality of personal relationships (family), and how it could actually influence other areas of our lives, especially at work. We also had a practical session that guided the participants to get in touch with the deeper aspects of their selves.

Later in the evening, I had an appointment with one of my "Personal Coaching" participants. He had just set up his own business and was doing it on a part-time basis; he works on it after his normal day job. He encountered a problem marketing his services. He did not inform nor ask me what to do about it. However, over the last two weeks, I felt that nothing was moving on his end, although I had set up a timeline for him to follow to develop his business. Occasionally, I asked my wife to call him to check on the progress. There was basically no response from him.

Finally, as the deadline approached, he called to inform of the problem. I gave him a piece of my mind! I told him that precious time was wasted for his idling. All he had to do was be humble and ASK. Quickly, I fixed an appointment to meet a friend of mine who was good in marketing. The meeting went well and we worked out a few plans to get my participant's business moving. The best part was, my friend happened to have a ready market in hand for the services offered by my participant!

On the way back, I gave him a nice lecture on the importance of being humble and ever willing to learn and ask when the need arises. He said he was worried that no progress was taking place. That is when I said that, to ASK for help is far more superior! If he had done so earlier, we could have saved the precious two weeks!

This is a classic problem with majority of people. People simply refuse to humble down and ASK. Countless wonderful ideas and dreams are dead simply because those who thought of it refused to ask for help to make them a reality! Some do ask but they ask the wrong people, and eventually give up on it. For example, if you want to go into business, the person that you should ask advice from is a successful businessman or woman; not your closest friend who has no idea of what business is all about! It is like asking your plumber whether it was advisable to do a brain surgery! Unless your plumber is also a brain surgeon, my suggestion would look ridiculous wouldn't it! Make sure you know exactly what to ask and whom to ask. This is important to ensure that precious time is not wasted; that is your time and also the time of the person you are asking the help from!

A wise man said long time ago, "Ask and you shall receive!"

To Have More Energy & Attract The Good Stuff, Spring Clean Your Life

Springtime is a great time to clean up your life in all areas. April showers brought May flowers, the days are longer, and energy seems to be running higher. Some of us just naturally feel urges to clean our nests at this time. Possibly it was a family ritual in your childhood to open your home to fresh air and sunshine, polishing up the windows and clearing out the winter's accumulation of dust bunnies and clutter.

While this time of high energy and Spring renewal is a great time to clean up your homes, yards, and messy cars, it is also a good time to extend this clean-up process to all areas of your life. Putting up with, or tolerating, the messy areas are a huge drain on your energy and, are a noisy distraction from fully enjoying the good things happening in your life and often can cause missed opportunities.

First identify all that you have been tolerating in your life. If you are a normal, red-blooded human being, your list will be really long. This is important: Don't just think about it; write them down. Besides the obvious--home, car, garage, yard/garden, equipment, and office, take a close look at your work, job, or business. Also write down what you are tolerating about your spouse or partner's behaviors and habits, as well as your own behaviors and habits. Everything. Big and small. If it annoys you, trips you up, or nags at you, write it down.

Study your list carefully, and this may sound odd, but note the benefits of having and maintaining these tolerations. List at least one benefit for each toleration and then list the costs of keeping that toleration in place. What damage does it cause you? Is it worth it?

Now pick the costliest toleration on your list and completely eliminate it. Or, if you have to work up to the biggest one, choose ten smaller tolerations and wipe them out first. You will be amazed at the energy you gain by plugging up these leaks. Some of those bigger tolerations will not seem so daunting.

Just remember that when dealing with other people you cannot necessarily change them, but you can enlighten them that you are changing and you will not be tolerating some things you may have put up with in the past. Be very clear what boundaries you have put in place. No need to go on the attack. Be kind, but firm. You may want to invite them to join you in becoming toleration free. It is a very attractive and authentic way live your life.

So get started cleaning up your life and keep whittling away at that list all year round. Plugging up those negative energy drains will allow you to positively attract all sorts of good stuff to your life.

Designing Your Healthy Life - Do You Want It?

For many people, taking control of their lives and health is a challenge that feels beyond their control. However, when you start talking to people who HAVE overcome incredible odds – in their health, in their lives, in their financial situations – you see that it has to do with what people BELIEVE they can accomplish! They see the possibilities, not the limitations.

A great example is in the movie, “The Secret”. A man crashed his airplane and broke just about every bone in his body. Doctors believed that he would never come off the breathing machine, and certainly would never walk again. To make a long story short, this man did everything in his power to prove them wrong and he DID walk out of the hospital on his own! I saw other examples of this when I worked in a county hospital, myself. The power of the human spirit is incredible.

But you have to want it.

There are stories of people overcoming other obstacles that some would say are too great to overcome. Examples include losing large amounts of weight, or working towards a better education and moving out of poverty into wealth. I work with health professionals who dream of starting up their own businesses. Many will stress over spending the money for my services, but this is a dream they really want to accomplish. They have serious doubts in the beginning that they can make it happen, but soon they are living their dreams!

How many times have you heard someone in their 90’s say, “If I had known I would have lived so long, I would have taken better care of myself”? I think I’ve heard this WAY too many times! But we can all take a lesson from this! We CAN be in control of our life and health! You just have to want it, and want it badly enough to do something about it, no matter how hard it is.

I was exercising the other day and worked a little harder than usual, getting ready for a fitness conference in a few months. Of course I want to be as fit as possible for this event, because other fitness professionals from all over the world will be there. I worked one muscle group that I have not worked in a LONG time, and as I felt the burn, I realized that this was something I was willing to push through in order to achieve a goal. You could say I’ve done the same thing with my business: I have been willing to step off the ledge into the unknown to create a dream I believed I could create. Those who are willing to take those risks or feel that burn know what I’m talking about. You have to want it.

Do you want it?

First of all, you have to actually see the life you want. Mentally imagine you are already there, and then, with eyes closed, walk through a day of what it is actually like. Once you have done this, it becomes more real. The next step is to create intentions to make it happen; become proactive!

Taking it one day at a time
Oh, how many times have I heard, ‘but I want to lose it now!’ For weight loss or improved fitness or optimal health, the key is consistency. My nutrition clients fit two categories: Those who are willing to travel the long road towards new habits and beliefs, and those who become discouraged and give up. Guess who the victors are? Changes to health habits do NOT happen overnight! If healthy and balanced eating were that easy, and only had to do with hunger and fullness, we would not be a country with over 60% of our population obese. Even if a person only has gained great amounts of weight because they didn’t exercise and really didn’t know how to eat for health, the road to losing that weight involves time and serious commitment. Old habits must make way for new habits. They must now cook more, make different food choices and different activity choices. It isn’t as easy as ‘going on a diet’ and then going off. It is a life change for the rest of their lives.

Goals and plans
Just as with business, if you want to improve your health, you must determine what that means. Do you want to lose fifty or 100 pounds? Maybe it’s just twenty pounds or five! Regardless of the amount, you must be clear what your goal is. You must then determine how you will accomplish this goal. Some people can do this by themselves. There are many stories of people who just decided one day that things would be different, and they started eating less and stepped outside their door and started exercising! Other people need someone to guide them and be accountable to, who will support their efforts.

No matter what category you are in, if you are reading this and you really want to lose weight, or improve your health or fitness level in some way, just know you really DO have a choice. You can make it happen, or you can continue to feel a victim in life and take no action. Even people who are unable to walk have a choice with their health – not only is the Special Olympics an international event, but even local large marathon events have categories for people with physical limitations. Today there is no excuse for not working towards improving your health. If you really want to.

Making it happen in small bites
So you have decided you really do want to improve your health. But it all seems really overwhelming and you’re not really sure how you can make such big changes! Excuse the pun, but take it in small bites! If you want to improve your eating habits, one effective tool is to write down everything you eat for three days. You’ll be amazed at how enlightening it is. Awareness is the first step: You have to know what you’re doing before you can figure out what you need to change.

Buy a small notepad that you can carry with you everywhere and every time you eat or drink something, write it down. Since it’s just for you, you can write as little or as much detail as you want. You can even write down how you felt, such as ‘hungry’ or ‘full’ or ‘guilty’ or ‘great’. If you want to log it somewhere, there are many online locations where you can do this. Free examples include Fitday.com and mypyramid.gov. At the end of three days, look at it. Most people already know what foods are healthy and which ones are not. If you’re not really sure, contact a registered dietitian (RD) to help you learn how to improve your current eating habits. Many people call themselves experts in nutrition, but the only educated and trained professional who can take the science behind nutrition and help you apply it to YOUR life is an RD.

Once you have looked at your food diary and realized where you could make changes, this next step is extremely important. Pick just ONE change to work on! Maybe that change would be to stop eating the candy bars in the afternoon. Now, the first time you try that, you are STARVING, and all you can think about the rest of the day is that candy bar! So, start snacking on fruit instead. You have not only eliminated a high-calorie, high-fat food from your diet, but now you’ve added a health source of phytochemicals and antioxidants that are good for you! The bottom line is you have eliminated excess calories by this one change! Once this is part of normal life, and no longer an effort, you are ready for a next change. Continue this process, one step at a time. Before you know it, your diet has changed! I will warn you that it won’t always be easy, but you will be working in the right direction.

Finally, let’s look at how you can add exercise to your life. If you decided that tomorrow you will start running, chances are good that you wouldn’t last too long, you’d end up out of breath and the next day places would hurt you didn’t know existed. The only benefit you’ll get from the experience will be from the stories you tell your friends of the silly mistake you made by trying to start an exercise program!

So, start with a walk. And it doesn’t have to be a long walk, either! Just five minutes a day to start will not only get you in the habit of actually doing it, but will help ease you into the activity. In a week or two, add another 5 minutes. Now you are walking 10 minutes a day! Laugh all you want, but a month ago how much were you walking? Health organizations recommend 60 minutes of exercise a day, but you can break that into 10 minute intervals. So, in two weeks you are walking 10 minutes, but time is limited, and you don’t feel you can justify extending it to 15 minutes. So, where else can you start walking another 5 minutes, and then can you turn that second 5 minutes into a second set of 10 minutes? See where I’m going with this? Before you know it, in a few months, you really ARE walking 60 minutes a day! Again, don’t laugh; how much are you walking right now? And you will see the results of this exercise… if you stay consistent and do it daily, and weekly, and monthly, and yearly.

Improved health can be a part of your life. You must take charge and make it happen, though. First you must determine what it is you want to improve, then you must create a plan to make it happen. Your plan must include how you will make these changes a regular and consistent part of your life from now on. Take small steps (and bites) at a time, and then just do it!

But, as I said, you have to want it. Do you want it?

Can Obese Physicians Help People Live a Healthier Life?

Patients treated by obese physicians don’t always properly follow their doctor’s advice concerning losing weight. Obesity advice given by overweight physicians does not carry the same effect with patients as similar advice given by fit physicians, according to Jo Marie Reilly of White Memorial Hospital in California.

Patients go to physicians for professional advice, however they also look to physicians as role models. From this standpoint, it is difficult for overweight physicians to give credible medical advice regarding weight loss if they don’t seem to take care of their own weight problems and health.

Obese physicians are less likely to diagnose obesity and provide obesity counseling for their patients according to a study of physicians' health habits and counseling practices. These doctors do not necessarily classify themselves as obese, said Brian W McCrindle in “Do as I say, not as I do. The new epidemic of childhood obesity”.

Physicians who are not overweight can deal with their patients more aggressively and avoid coexistences with other diseases or conditions. An obese physician may sometimes be in denial regarding his own obesity, and so she may overlook obesity in her own patients.

If the hospital staff do not live themselves healthier lifestyles patients get the message that being overweight is a healthy lifestyle, according to Reilly. That is because sometimes patients may see the medical personnel as role models. Hospital staff should be encouraged to live healthier lifestyles, and should also include healthy foods in their vending machines or lunch rooms, said Reilly.

Physicians who are not self-aware of their obesity and do not challenge themselves to make healthy lifestyle changes are losing the battle against obesity, said Reilly.

Happiness - 3 Keys to Living a Happy and Fulfilled Life

Everyone that I have ever met wants to live a happy and fulfilled life. I am sure that you are one of those people as well. By now you have probably realised that wanting a happy and fulfilled life and actually having one is the same thing. So, to help you have, and not just want a happy life, here are 3 keys to guide you on your way.

1. Don’t live according to others expectations.

One of the worst things that you can do is live according to someone else’s expectations of what your life ought to be. If you are always trying to live up to someone’s idea of what your life should be, you will be very unhappy. From now on make your own expectations for your life and stop worrying what other people think about you.

2. Follow your heart.

I have met so many people that have told me that they are not doing what they really want to in life. In fact, many of these people hate what they do. The odds are that you feel the same way in your life. If you really want to be happy and fulfilled you have to follow your heart and live your dreams. Besides, how in the world do you think you can live a happy and fulfilled life if you do something you hate?

3. Be the director of your life.

It’s time to take the reigns of you life and start driving it where you want it to go instead of just letting life take you where it wants to. Life can be great but only if you are the master of it. If you let life control you then you will find that life can be a cruel master. Your life was meant for you to control, not the other way around.

Life Is Full Of Choices

How many times, standing before your wardrobe, you have seen yourself confused as to what to wear? Which dress to choose, today? At a shop, how many times did you ask your companion whether or not this colour would suit you? If you are married and had your wife not been with you, you would have never been able to choose many a things? She is a real angel with you to make you look strikingly well dressed. These are very minor decisions and you find that deciding either way causes you headache. And if you are asked to choose for your wife, even colour matching will send you boiling. I have seen many husbands getting out of the shop where their wives are choosing, on the pretext of smoking or calling on a nearby friend. Men, by nature, are more impatient, restless than women. The endurance levels of women are much higher than that of men. That is why they can bear a husband like you. Nature has probably made them so. Their earthy nature makes them more tolerant, patient and forbearing. Woman might take a little more time to decide, to choose, but they do. Man can have a sense of satisfaction by saying that he is the boss but not without the permission of his wife. Woman is the ultimate deciding factor, in man’s life.

Frustrating job

You feel a sort of frustration while deciding, choosing. You always wish if some one else can decide for you and you feel relieved. Some one has taken your worries. Deep down it denotes that you do not want to be responsible for even your own actions. You get a sense of satisfaction, if some other person takes on your conscientiousness. You can sit pleased and relax comfortably. It is not that the decision taken by others does not cause frustration. It may be more, but you can comfortably pass on the buck, as you were not a part of it. It has been happening for so many years that people have stopped taking decisions.

The same goes on for other matters too. Others are deciding even very intimate matters related directly to you. Others decide for your education, career, and clothes, even your wife or husband. You need assurances of others for your life. How many times have you bothered to go to polling booth to vote to elect your area representative? Once the governments do not work, rather in third world countries governments literally don’t work and you curse the total system sitting in your drawing room or in coffee house. I have seen people howling on politicians, bureaucracy and all the systems, even when they have gone for a walk in parks. All their niceties boil to abusiveness for the people who are managing their life. The masters- be it religious or political, are criticized in parks. You go to a park for tranquil atmosphere, for the serenity but you start causing pollution there, by vomiting out rubbish on system and everything of the world. You never became a part of the democratic process of decision-making and now you cry foul, lament, as the world is getting morally corrupt. Do you have a right to fume at them, now? Your indecisiveness causes you hypertension. Again, it is you who is the sufferer. You are the one who gave reins of your life to the people you are abusing now.

On the one hand you wish to go with others who take decisions for you; on your behalf and on the other hand you cry at their decisions. Why it is so? Had you decided yourself, there might have been some introspection, sometime and it might help the future decisions.

Of Sheep and Goats

This sheep mentality is not a new happening. The society, the politician and the religion have given it to humanity for their selfish interest. You are given trodden paths to walk. Every thing is prerecorded for you. You are brought up in a way to be a non- entity. Even before conception, you had been baptized. You had been named a Hindu or Christian or Muslim. You are not supposed to oppose, or raise your voice. You are not to question. You are here to follow like sheep and goats. You had been taught to remain shut up. Your parents, teachers, bosses and politicians do not allow you to speak. You are outcaste if you dare utter not in tune with the laid down system of each society and nation. Each society has coined very beautiful yet humiliating words like coward, conspirator, traitor and sinner. A sense of guilt is inherently created. A fear of hell is given right at the beginning, lest you start behaving at your own. Mad, deranged, rebel and many more such words are ready to be used. Most interesting point is that all these words were used for the very same people whom today’s religionists are following. They were stoned, crucified, poisoned and hanged. It can be your fate too, if you do not comply. This deep fear has been instrumental in creating this situation where you are worried about even small personal decisions like making love or masturbation; worshiping an idol or not; attending Sunday prayer and likes of that.

You are tuned to listen and obey. This has resulted in traumatic condition wherein either you do not know what to do or you draw a sadistic pleasure in your own silence. Your reflexes, your inner voice- conscious has been consciously blocked. You are given to feel relaxed in non-decisiveness. Everything is chosen for you, decided for you- your name, your religion, your behavioral pattern and even your own life.

Choose from the nature’s abundance

Nature has granted you wide choices, but you fail to choose and then blame your luck or stars or what ever you can find to rest your failures upon. The lap of nature, you have come out from is so bountiful, so full that all the choices, spread like stars in sky, are created for you. You are the master to choose from. You are the decision maker. But unfortunately, you are acting like a slave; you have given charges of your life to others. You could have bloomed and danced like a God’s son, but living in miseries becomes your providence.

You do not wish to be you; you do not look at your inner self, and an independent authority of your being. Though the nature has created a different identity in you. The beauty of the nature, the God is that it does not repeat. You are unique; not part of the flock, though you may look like others you are not alike. Try watching two flowers of the same tree- little closely. Watch both and you will be surprised to note that they are dissimilar in all the aspects- the size, the veins running within, the shape. Though it looked same initially but closer watch or watching closely is the key word.

You want to be similar. But basically you are different from others. God has created everyone with an apparent distinction. No two persons are alike. Creator wanted it that way only, but the society has made a sheep out of a man. You have been given a nation, a religion, and a personality by the parents or society. It becomes easy to rule the masses. Same set of rules, religious rituals, books, and clothes. And the biggest paradox for the mankind is that you are not even allowed to choose your own religion or faith. It comes to you by chance and you implement it, blindly. Your family thrusts it upon you and you start following like a sheep.

Imagine if a child is born to a Hindu family and some child lifter or mid wife takes him or her to a Muslim family across the border. What religion he or she is going to have? Will he hate or love Hindu ethos? It is a million dollar question. He may grow up to fight and hate the very womb; he has remained in for nine months. He may not shirk an inch to stab a nine inches long knife in the same womb. Where is the real religion, then? You must not forget that no religious saint or messiah or son of the God has ever spoken ill about others. They were all essence of universal love, brotherhood, non- violence and compassion. All sacrificed their life defending their tormentors, killers. They could see no difference between the two. The killers were also sons of the same God. Then who is propagating sacrifice of sheep and goats, killing innocent people in the name of religion and nations? It cannot be ordinary people, at least. Try finding right answer to this pertinent question. You are to decide, not your leaders. They have a selfish interest in killings. Governments survive on hatred and wars. Keeping their boundaries of rule expanding at your cost.

Fear of failure

Probably, the scare of failures or being left alone that has been entrenched so deep in your personality, hold you from making a decision. It stops you to make choices. You remain puzzled, even undecided on small matters. You had been transformed into a follower, while you are born to lead. You had been educated to be docile, a meek. Each of God’s creation is born with a freedom to live idiosyncratically. You had been given a predefined program to make your own choices, to live your own way, by the nature. A flower does not ask other when to bloom. A seed that decides to tear apart the mighty earth, comes out of it to grow as an independent tree.

But humanity has been turned into herd and infertile land where flowers of love, freedom seldom bloom. This practice is in use for last many centuries, rather a terrible result of modern civilization. Society does not want people who can decide independently. A set rules and norms have been handed over to you in the shape of religion, school, etiquettes, society. You are supposed to be a follower. Not a chooser. That is the way you have grown up. That is how systems of all the nations work. You are supposed to be a part of slavery system. You have to be with masses, follow others and thus loose your identity and choices.

The fear of failure! Have you studied the life of successful people? They failed innumerable times, before accomplishing the success mark. Edison named his failures as ‘thousands of ways that did not work.’ History books are full of such people who decided about their own path. Failures never deterred them. They did what their conscious asked them to do. All successful people enjoyed their failures too. While you want to spare your self of the pleasures of failures to the fear of failure.

You want to rise without falling. That is not possible. Natural rules cannot be changed. The law of nature that governs us is by nature a wavy phenomena; it is never straight. Have you seen the climbers? You are to bow to climb a mountain. One needs to choose as per the altitude. You want to climb straight. That is un-natural. Unless you bow, bend and make amends, you cannot rise. Water has to get boiled to rising vapors, if it needs to touch sky. You will succeed after having tasted the fruits of failures. Having mind set to face what so ever comes the way, will strengthen your capacity to choose.

You are to choose- this way or that way. The process of falling and standing again has to be completed. That is the way life moves. Everything of universe moves in circular fashion. And in a circle the outlook is where you are. Don’t you think many a times your indecisiveness has caused you more problem, than if you would have chosen one out of the many choices available at that time. Unfortunately everyone wants the best. Best was not available at the time of your choosing, but you could have made best out of the available. The choice is always from the existing. It cannot be dreamy. By not choosing, by not being aware of the fundamental that choice, decision has to be from the existence. You missed. You missed many opportunities, because you did not decide.

Life is multi way process

Your anxiety to have the result before the action is the main pitfall. This has never happened. Results are the result of an action. It can never precede the action, the choice. You cannot anticipate it also. Life is not mathematics. In life, two plus two can be anything from zero to infinite. It is life and moves at its own pace. The same rules do not apply to all of us.

Just decide and go in action, is the way of living life. Choices are abundant. Choose any one and make it your own choice, live with it with full sincerity. Make doubly sure that now it is your choice- you are the architect of this choice. You are to nurture it, nourish it to see that it goes the way you wish. Do not listen to other’s views. Now it is your life, your decision, and your choice. You choose to live your way, your own style.

Every choice does have certain limiting factor too. If you decide one way, you will at least put into action your plans. Once decided, do not look to others. Others never want you to succeed. They are also like you- full of jealousy. They are like sweet-coated bitter pills. They might come to you to assess you.

Now, even if you fail, you will not blame others. You are aware that seed of success lies in failures. Rather you will start enjoying it.

Life is your choice, live is fully by choosing and not allowing it to happen to you.
