How To Lose Your Belly Fat

by Robert Locke
Losing belly fat does NOT depend on how many crunches you do, or on gimmicky ab training gadgets. Basically the message is- move your body and watch your diet ! Of all the exercises guaranteed to burn fat, stoke up your metabolism and increase your strength, kettlebells are the latest craze and there must be a reason !

Kettlebell workouts are breaking back onto the exercise scene as many personal trainers and physical therapists have rediscovered the functional fitness gains kettlebell workouts provide. . These workouts are by far the most beneficial for overall body flexibility and functional strength and they are also ideal for those who engage in recreational sports, such as, golfing swimming, hiking, cycling and kayaking, surfing or playing tennis. Kettlebell workouts are also ideal for those recovering from sports-related injuries or going though other physical rehabilitation programs. And get this - they are famous for burning fat away as a combination of their calorific cost and increasing lean muscle mass, whilst building better balance and grace. They are clearly superior to dumbbell workouts. Many personal trainers and instructors believe that kettlebell workouts are far superior to the traditional weightlifting programs that we all know and hate !

Kettlebell training is tough, mentally and physically, just as kayaking 20 miles in high winds requires both mental and physical toughness. Kettlebells are what we use to keep it going on. Kettlebells are a lot less expensive than say, an entire home gym, and I think a lot more fun. They were developed and mastered many years ago in Russia although no single nation can lay claim to inventing them, however the old Soviet Union continued to implement kettlebell lifts into their athletic and military physical training, and as a sport in its own right long after they fell into disuse elsewhere, and so they now "own" the monopoly on all things kettlebell. Kettlebells were so popular in Russia, that wrestlers and strongmen were known as kettlemen. This type of training primarily increases stamina or strength-endurance like no other form of exercise and it dramatically improves flexibility and speed.

Burning the fat

Kettlebells build muscle & burn off body fat fast and can replace hours spent sitting on a bike or walking. Let me tell you, I personally dig the kettlebell. There are an infinite number of kettlebell drills that have been designed and that you can design yourself. And the versatility of kettlebells definitely helps to prevent boredom. (I was about to buy an expensive, well known home gym when I discovered kettlebells) Equipped with a suitcase-like handle, the kettlebell delivers an intense workout that can be done in half the time of a traditional workout, while producing twice the results. Currently, kettlebells are sold online at an individual price that ranges from $80-$200.

Fitness

In regard to your general fitness, I think you'll really enjoy kettlebells "Kettlebells are a unique tool that if properly used may greatly improve one's fitness and well-being. In addition to this, most strength athletes and bodybuilders virtually "live to lift" and rarely perform any form of aerobic or cardio type training; Kettlebells offer a sport specific alternative to the more traditional but mundane approaches to aerobic training, which they will find far more enjoyable, thus improving the adherence to their new holistic training programme that will be highly beneficial for their heart's fitness, recovery from heavy training, general health and body fat management.

And kettlebells are not the only tool in the fight against belly fat. There are a host of other techniques listed in the link below for a complete program in getting rid of that ugly stomach and finally owning a six pack!
