Stay Fit and Thin With Only a Few Hours Work

In order to stay fit and healthy we have to eat a proper sensible diet; however just eating properly isn’t enough to stay fit and healthy. In order to stay fit and healthy we should get into the habit of taking exercise on a daily basis and sticking with a routine at least three times a week. For just a few hours per week of your time you can stay fit and thin. When starting out with any type of exercise plan it is important to start out slowly and work your way up to more strenuous routines. If you haven’t had a previous routine and are a total newbie to it then it is wise to start out with just 5 minutes of exercise per day with a 5 minute recovery period. When starting out don’t go straight into something such as lifting large amounts of weights but rather start off with gentle exercise such as walking.

Even if you are fairly fit and healthy you don’t have to invest a large amount of your time in a routine, the main concern is that you take some form of exercise every day or at least three or four days a week even if it’s only for 15 minutes or so per day. Exercising doesn’t have to cost a fortune; you don’t have to take out an expensive subscription to a gym. Here are some of the most common forms of exercise that’s don’t cost anything and which are excellent ways to stay fit and thin.

Instead of taking the car or bus everywhere you go, try bike riding. Cycling is an excellent form of exercise that is good for all muscles and gets the cardiovascular system pumping; it is a great form of exercise for those who suffer from respiratory problems as it opens the chest. Cycling for just 10 or 15 mins a day will not only keep you fit but will also help you to stay trim, a more extensive bike ride will allow you to shed a pounds too.

Walking is the easiest and cheapest way to stay fit and healthy and it doesn’t cost a cent. While some people choose to go power walking and this is a very energetic form of walking, walking for exercise can be done at a much more moderate or slower pace and so is an excellent form of exercise for people of all ages and fitness. As little as five minutes per day can get you started towards being happier, healthier and thinner, walking is excellent for strengthening the muscles of the legs, trimming the thighs and the buttock.

Swimming is another form of exercise that can be done by people of all ages and can be done moderately or at a faster pace such as setting a certain amount of laps to be done in an hour. Swimming is an excellent source of exercise particularly for those who suffer from joint problems or conditions such as asthma.

As you can see you don’t have to devote many hours per week to and exercise routine just a few each week and you are on the way to a thinner and fitter you.
